Ok I know that your supposed to sell your self on theses things, but dont you hate when you meet someone and find out that they have some annoying habit that you think that they should have mention. So I'm just going to tell you people who I am and hopefully I hit the main points that most people like to know when reading these things. So to start of I am Richard, Im 19, and entering my second year at Riverside Community College RCC for short. I plan on transferring to Cal State Long Beach in the spring to study speech communication. At the moment Im a full-time student and part of the school Forensic team aka Speech and Debate team. When Im not in school or on the road for tournaments and have free time I like hang with friends where ever that may be like at the park, mall, beach, going to see a movie, eating (I love eating im a big fatty sometimes), or just hang outside someones house talking. My friends are really important to me because I know I wouldnt be the same person I am now if I didnt have my friends in my life. I tend to get frustrated with people when they act like they dont have common sense, but over all I am a people person. I think Im very mature for my age but that doesnt mean I dont know how to have fun.

I consider myself a little tamer than that, although I do have a wild side that peeks out here and there. I am intelligent, educated, and well-spoken and can hold my own in nearly any conversation. I am a high school science teacher and have the college degrees and the geeky reputation that goes along with them. I like to cook, read, sew, swim, and can often be found watching House or NCIS reruns. I love concerts (usually country, but Ilike most music), have been known to dance on the bar (only twice), and will try almost anything once. I am the ultimate dichotomy I guess--my career is white collar but many of my interests aren't. I traverse easily between a more cultured circle and a down-right redneck one (btw, the redneck ones are always more fun). My family is from Michigan by way of Tennessee and...yeah....my roots show.

I enjoy Disneyland, the beach at sunset, a long scenic drive or ride, being out on the lake on my jetskis, goofing around with my boys, or just hanging out with family and friends over some cards, good barbeque and beer. I have a knack for randomly quoting from those and others of my favorites during conversations just to see who catches on. My whole family does it, and it is too funny.

Ok, I am a 43 year old teacher who works in Riverside and I live in Moreno Valley. I have been divorced for about 20 years now and I have no children. I have no baggage, but I do help my dad who is disabled (My parents live about one mile away). Honestly, I haven't been out on a date for a long time. I find it hard to meet people, and I think the whole idea of finding a significant other, well scarry. I have focused on business and my career for many years, but I am trying to come out of my shell a little and test the waters. It seems like in the past, others were not committed as much as me.

WHO I AM: I have never tried to smoke and I have never even tried any illegal drugs. I don't drink (I don't like the taste). I can't have any children. I am financially secure. I don't play games. I love snowboarding, going to the gym, and just about anything else that keeps me active. Snowboarding season is finally back! cant wait to make my fifth trip this season after the new year.

In the past, I spent 4 years in the Marine Corps. I worked in Field Artillery, but in one of the smart guy positions... Fire Direction Control. During the 4 years i was deployed once, and hit the following places: Hawaii, Australia, Egypt, Kuwait, Iraq, Bah Rain, Singapore, and Hong Kong. I absolutely loved Australia, I want to go back there so bad.

As far as travel goes, some day I want to go back to Australia, hit up Ireland, and make my way to Greece. Australia was sweet, everything about Ireland sounds awesome, and Greece seems like a fun trip. Domestically, i want to go to Vegas soon, a place where the pubs and clubs don't close?! Im in! I also want to check out Florida and Boston.

I love going to concerts. Most concerts I go to are small shows. As hardcore shows tend to be. I just saw the Dropkick Murphys at the SOMA, and it was by far the best show ive ever seen.

Pretty much I am up for doing anything that is active. If it gets me out of the house... im game. Want to go do something completely stupid?... sure!

I'm a half Japanese and half Persian crazy person who loves to hang out and meet cool people. In Junior high, my friends and I came up with the term jock-nerd (pretty self explanatory, right?).

I do have a confession as well, I love to go to the theatre. I have season tickets to the Broadway Music Series in Sacramento (Musicals). Musicals are my favorite but I also enjoy regular shows as well. Every few years I go to NYC just to watch as many theatre productions as I can. As for being on this site, I am pretty much here to meet new people and create a bigger network in the SoCal area. If things intensify and a relationship occur, then that would be pleasant but I rather have a friendship first. I believe better friends make a better relationship.

Small but wise and dedicated to God. For a name chosen before I was born, it's quite fitting. My parents chose well, and if my theory holds any weight, they've also conspired since I was an infant to mold me into the nerd I am today.

Reading and writing are my passions. My dad is an English teacher; and as such, shared with me the joy that comes with storytelling as well as his passion for the written and spoken word. I've been a published poet (in theory at any rate) for several years. Seeing as it was Poetry.com, I don't hold much stock in that, nor in the editor's choice awards it won. I'm slightly cynical when it comes to those sorts of things. So perhaps someday. A girl can dream.

I'm not the greatest at breaking the ice online, so if I visit your profile multiple times before you get a message, I'm most likely trying to think up a way to say hi that won't make me feel like an absolute idiot. This of course, does nothing, and I still feel like an idiot.

I love being outdoors when I can manage. I miss being able to flop into a hammock with a good book and immerse myself in a world outside myself both physically and mentally. Since the accident, I've not been doing nearly as many outdoorsy things because, hey, wheelchair. I intend to fix this.

I've always been interested in various sciences, my focus has shifted all over the place since I was small, and continues to do so. The latest to bite me was Chemistry. My sister says I like it because it's the study of something smaller than me, and maybe she has a point, but the fact of the matter is that it piqued my interest and hasn't let go since.

I'm a second generation American, and am of the opinion that Irish Catholicism should count as a lifestyle. I have a tightly woven family, and an amazing support system to boot. My parents have always been there for me, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. I have one younger sister and I would do just about anything for her. I love the comfort and stability that my family and faith provide, and would be loathe to give it up.

I'm a transplant from Northwest Ohio, and the differences between Southern California and there still throw me for a loop sometimes, but for the most part I've gotten over my culture-shock related awkwardness, which is a good thing, considering we moved here in the summer of 2001.

I've been a paraplegic since August of 2005, and I'm still learning how to reintegrate into society. I've come a long way since then, particularly the past few months, but I've still a ways to go and much to learn before I hit my stride (so to speak).

I don´t go out much usually i´m helping my dad with his work he´s a trucker so i´m not home a few days a week. I really don´t have any hobbies except i´ll take my little brother and sister to the movies if we find one we all want to watch. i have only kept a few friends do to constant moving but I find almost any reason is enough for me to cancel my plans and visit a friend. I am a little wierd but the fact that those around me are almost always smiling or laughing keeps me the way i am.

I believe that laughter is the best medicine for most things that are difficult in this life. Donâ??t try to take everything too seriously, because life is hard enough. Laughter should be a part of everyoneâ??s life and I make jokes often, although not everyone can appreciate subtle sarcasm and dry humor the same way I can. I wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth, so I appreciate what I have and don't blow all my money on worthless crap. If thatâ??s a common practice of yours, please donâ??t expect me to do the same. It usually helps if you share common interests with me, but is not always necessary to spark a good conversation. Many times I can be quiet, but if I hit it off with someone, then thereâ??s no limit to what we can discuss. As a realistic guy who knows what is personally important. I'm not a fan of playing games or using ridiculous pick-up lines on girls to get their attention or start a conversation. If that works for you, then go back to high school. So many people are not ready for the real world. Unlike so many of those people, I have no problem telling you what Iâ??m all about. Substance of character is what actually really matters, not empty words.

Donâ??t get me wrong, because I'm not a judgmental person. I usually know what I'm looking for in my life, and hopefully I'll be lucky enough to find it someday. Iâ??m not looking for someone who smokes anything, drinks frequently, or feels the need to â??partyâ?? all the time. Those are hollow vices that I have made the choice to leave out of my life. I am strong enough to live my life without relying on those crutches that so many people claim they desire. Life is to be embraced and appreciated, not escaped from, although vacations are a nice change of pace from time to time. I'm not afraid to try new things, but I definitely have personal limits which will only be changed when I feel it is in my best interest. Truly, I love when I'm introduced to something new and exciting that I haven't had the opportunity to try on my own. I work hard and have put myself through college to earn my AA and AS degrees. Following my education, I joined the Air Force and getting ready to leave for basic sometime this summer. We all want something to make life more rewarding, right?

No one has exactly the same taste in music and I love finding good music to add to my mix. I love watching well written TV shows and films. In both cases, it really just depends what it is. I have an odd sense of humor about some things and I can be somewhat sarcastic, but I know how to be serious, so don't get the wrong idea. For the record, I'm not a Ginger! (Gingers have lots of freckles and no souls... So by South Park standards, I'm a daywalker.) I'm 5'10", So I guess that makes me average height. i love to get dressed up and go out with my girls. My friends mean the world to me and they always come first. I love my nieces and nephews they're the coolest kids. Things i like to do is basically anything fun and crazy. Ive never been snowboarding but id really like to go someday.. Ive been sky diving once and it was one of the funnest things in my life. What to say about myself? I am a nice girl, I enjoy many things such as seeing a new movie, going to sporting events (I LOVE SPORTS!!!!), going to Karaoke, and going to the beach. There are many more things that I can not recall.

hmmm.... well I guess I'm just your average guy in college. Right now, I'm working on my general ed, I was majoring in business, but I'm now majoring in Anthropology. I find anthropology more interesting then business.

I really enjoy being outside hiking, camping, backpacking, and going on semi-regular wilderness survival outings with my friends. I prefer to be out in the mountains or deep in the forest.
