“I love Mariposa School because they support me in my efforts to raise a conscientious child. The kids get recognized for keeping their school clean. They plant gardens and weed their school campus together. They teach ways to conserve energy and cut down on pollution. Their teachers and principal are A+ too.”

“This is the best school! I went here as a child and now my 8 year old attends. It is wonderful; the teachers and staff care so much about each child! There are so many parent volunteers that teachers get extra help for the select children that need it most. This way the teacher can concentrate on the whole class and not just one or two students that are behind and need more assistance. I am so fortunate to be a stay home mom with a very bright child. This means I get to be a volunteer and assist with the children that are not reading at their appropriate level. I can not say enough good things about Mariposa... It feels like a huge family and not only my son, but I have made some amazing and long lasting friendships here.”

“Mariposa Elementary is an excellent school. My daughter has been studying for 6 years and this is her last year in the school. Students reach their academic skills and are trained with good discipline. Teachers are highly knowledged and teach students with advanced curriculum.”

“Mariposa has been an incredible school for my daughter. She has been there for 2 years and the teachers, staff, activities and parent involvement is excellent. I really appreciated all of the field trips and the extra performances the kids got to participate in several times each year. We recently moved and I have found that few schools are as good as Mariposa.”

“Consistently high academic standards in all grades. Lots of parental involvement, especially in the classroom grading papers, and helping out teachers as needed. Strong PTA. The 'Arts' are emphasized here with many student plays and performances throughout the year. Awesome field trips, i.e. Long Beach Aquarium, Living Desert, 5th grade overnight to Catalina Island, etc. I have not been as involved in the classroom as I have in previous years but I can't say that my kids are suffering for it. There are so many parent volunteers ready to pitch in and help out. Book authors are brought in annually for the children to meet and greet, and to make literature alive for them. To sum it up, I've known parents who have taken their child out of private school to send them to Mariposa. Great school, but can be difficult for some children who aren't up to the academic rigor.”

“My son is in kindergarten and as many of you first time parents of a child this age you know how stressful this adjustment is. Not only are the teachers wonderful but the children and parents are too. There is a common interest to make this a positive experience for my son but for our family as well. He has learned more in the last four months than I could imagine. I know that he is in the best school in the inland empire by the way he has excelled. I could not be happier to put the care of my son in the hands of the faculty and staff of mariposa. Wow!”

“Mariposa is the most wonderful school I have encountered. The faculty and staff are driven to guide the students towards the highest level of instruction. The teachers and the principal are friendly and the students seem to respond exceptionally well to their teachers. The school is in beautiful condition due to the work and support of the PTA and the surrounding community. Schools such as this one are rare and deserved to be recognized for their individuality.”

“Mariposa is a great school. The test scores are high but plays, art, music and the garden seem more important than just drilling to the test. I would not have volunteered in my daughter's class if they hadn't encouraged it and I am so glad I did! The library is wonderful, the atmosphere is inspiring. I wish I had gone to a school like this.”
